A part of Student Health and Wellbeing, Public Health Initiatives (PHI) is committed to learning from the campus community and supporting its diverse health and wellbeing needs. PHI collaborates with partners across UIC to conduct community health needs assessments, evaluate services, and to advance health education, health literacy, health equity, policy advocacy, and disease prevention and response.

Students who are diagnosed with a communicable illness such as chicken pox, tuberculosis, measles, or others should self-report to the university.

Prompt notification allows UIC leadership to take steps to prevent the spread of illness in the community.
